Happy 100th Eileen
Eileen Gilchrist was the star of the show at her 100th birthday party in Lillyburn Nursing Home, Milton of Campsie today and was surrounded by family, friends, staff and two specially invited guests.
Provost Gillian Renwick and Dunbartonshire's Deputy Lieutenant Mark Billington joined the celebrations as Eileen marked her centenary year with a lavish do. A fabulous cake, flowers, banners and balloons marked the occasion and Eileen was the proud recipient of a birthday message from King Charles III.
Eileen lived in Baldernock
Irish-born Eileen lived in Baldernock for many years and is well-known by many in the community and in the Church of Scotland.
Provost Renwick said,
