Councillor Renwick elected as Provost
Gillian Renwick was re-elected on Friday 6 May 2022 as a Councillor for Lenzie and Kirkintilloch South. At the first statutory meeting of the Council on Thursday 19 May, Councillor Renwick was elected as Provost.
She said,
It is both an honour and a privilege to be elected as Provost for East Dunbartonshire.
First Kirkintilloch Councillor as Provost
I believe I am the first - but I am sure not the last - Councillor from Kirkintilloch to take up this role. I am incredibly proud to take on the duties of Provost and will carry these out to the very best of my ability.
