Provost joins the fun at Bishopbriggs Community Day

On her first official engagement, Provost Renwick attended the Bishopbriggs Community Day, joining in the fun with hundreds of local people. She had the honour of inaugurating Bishopbriggs Community Council's first ever Youth Ambassadors - three P6 pupils from Meadowburn Primary. 

The Youth Ambassador Programme replaces the tradition of Gala Royalty and the young people will work with the Community Council over the coming year. The annual community day was last held in 2019 and was clearly missed. Its return was welcomed by all, including the Provost and the crowds of local people who came along to support it.
