A long lunch at Woodhill Evangelical Church

We’re all guilty of the odd ‘long lunch’ but the folks at Woodhill Lunch Club take the biscuit as they recently celebrated their 25th year of fun filled lunches.

And Provost Gillian Renwick was delighted to be a guest at their special anniversary lunch where there was music, laughter, chat and lovely food of course.

The Wednesday Club evolved from an original idea by Frank and Vera Waddleton who first brought local people together on 21 April 1999.

Provost Renwick said,

What a privilege to be part of this special event, marking 25 years of friendship and fun at the Woodhill Lunch Club

Quite an achievement to have reached a quarter of a century

It is quite an achievement to have reached a quarter of a century, thanks in no small part to a band of hard-working volunteers.

“I hope that this popular Club goes on to host many more lunches for its regular attendees who value it very much and look forward to enjoying the company and the entertainment.”
