    The purpose of this technical note is to provide Elected Members with an update to the date change for the notification to parents / carers for School Placing Requests 2021.

    Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Scottish Government has issued revised dates for Councils to respond to Placing Requests for the new school year starting in August 2021.

    The deadline whereby the Council is required to notify applicants of the Councils decisions on Placing Requests has been extended to 5 May 2021. Communications to parents / carers will be issued via social media, Groupcall and on the Council’s website.

    The Council is currently working to process all applications and notify all parents / carers on 5 May 2021 of the outcomes.

    The Council will keep applicants informed of any further developments through updates on the Council's website and social media accounts.

    Further details will also be shared with Elected Members through the regular service update technical note provided by the CMT.
