    Section

    1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to a proposed special meeting of the Council on 5 October 2021.   

    2. Members will be aware that the Council received annual performance reports from both Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service.  These reports provide an overview and then focus on performance within the East Dunbartonshire area. 

    3. Over the last few years, these Reports have been received and scrutinised at a meeting of the Council held for that purpose.  At the time of submitting the Council Diary for 2021/22, it was not possible to identify a suitable date, however the Executive Officer – Place & Community Planning has continued to liaise with both partner organisations and a suitable date has been identified.

    4. Following consultation with the Provost, it is proposed that a special meeting of the Council for this purpose will take place on 5 October 2021 at 5pm.  This will be a virtual meeting and will be broadcast live on the Council’s YouTube channel.  Meeting invites will be issued shortly.
