Following the report to PNCA Committee in September 2021 (Report PNCA/073/21/DG), this Technical Note provides details of the consultation materials and approach to the public consultation period on the draft Kirkintilloch Business Gateway Masterplan. Copies of the materials are attached as Appendices.
The Consultation will run from Friday 19 November and conclude on Sunday 12 December.
The consultation will be undertaken in line with the relevant policy, strategy and action plan.
A webpage has been created on the Council’s website explaining the purpose of the consultation and how to respond.
Local residents will be able to complete a simple questionnaire online with paper copies available to complete and return at Kirkintilloch and Lenzie Libraries.
An accessible version of the masterplan will be available online and anyone who has questions or who is unable to respond online will be able to phone a named contact.
An evening online event will be held on 29 November where residents can put questions directly to the masterplan team and Council officers. The event will be held on Microsoft Teams and people can sign up using Eventbrite. An afternoon workshop will be held with landowners and property agents on the same day.
Corporate Communications will create a press release and promote the consultation via the normal channels. A letter drop will make both neighbouring residential and non-residential properties aware of consultation and a poster will promote and provide information on the consultation at Kirkintilloch and Lenzie Libraries.
