This Technical Note provides an update on recruitment for the Modern Apprentice Programme and Graduate programmes (GRAD +).

Phase 8 of the programme follows on from the success of previous programmes and will recruit Modern Apprentices and Graduates into the following service areas:

Modern Apprenticeships

  • Early Years (12 posts)
  • Business Administration/ Committee Services (1 post)
  • Streetscene Environmental (3 posts)
  • Roads and Civils (2 posts)
  • Construction Management (1 post)
  • Youth Work (1 post)
  • Vehicle Technician (1 post)

Graduates

  • Finance (2 posts)
  • Business and Digital Change (1 post)
  • Transformation and Innovation (1 post)
  • Corporate Procurement (1 post)
  • Civil Engineering (1 post)
  • ICT Infrastructure (1 post)
  • Human Resources (1 post)
  • Legal Information Management (1 posts)

The apprenticeships and graduate positions will be advertised on myjobscotland.gov.uk shortly with interviews scheduled for July with start dates in late summer. All of the apprentices will work towards relevant SVQs whilst receiving on the job training and a high quality work experience. GRAD+ successful candidates will secure a paid work placement for 2 years.
