Section

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to provide an answer to a question raised at the PNCA Committee on Thursday, 25 May 2021, seeking an update on the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) which were promoted around a number of schools in response to varying start and finish times at schools and the need to social distance during the pandemic.
  2. The original TTRO was due to expire on the 24th of June 2021 however Officers have extended this period to ensure the restrictions remain in place until the 24th of December 2021, this being the maximum length of time a TTRO can be in place.  The extension is allowing time for Officers to continue monitoring the effectiveness and appropriateness of the restrictions in each of the locations and to continue the promotion of permanent TROs as previously approved by Committee prior to the start of the pandemic.
  3. The table attached in appendix 1 provides an overview of all the Primary schools in the area and the status of restrictions around each of them.
