Section

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise the current position regarding the Council’s and Leisure & Culture Trust involvement in the Scotland Covid Community Memorial Programme which is known as “Remembering Together”.

Background

2. Remembering Together is being delivered by greenspace Scotland at the request of Scottish Government, as announced by the First Minister in March 2021.

3. The programme will involve commissioned artists working with partners, communities, faith groups and those most affected by Covid in all 32 local authority areas to co-create Covid memorial projects.

4. Since the initial announcement various Council and Leisure & Culture Trust Staff have been working with greenspace Scotland to prepare for the initial launch of the programme within East Dunbartonshire.
