At its meeting on 3 November 2022, Council agreed to allocate £30,000 from its £2.1 million Cost of Living support package to provide a grant scheme for local organisations to provide Warm Spaces within our communities.
Local organisations looking to participate in the Warm Space initiative can apply for up to £1,000 to support their delivery costs.
A grant application form will launch on the Council website today, Friday 11 November, with guidelines on how to apply and what the grant can be used towards.
Warm Spaces should be made available across the winter months until March 2023 and applications will be assessed on a rolling basis as they are received, with grants awarded as soon as authorised.
The availability of Warm Spaces across the area will be monitored and measures taken to address any gaps in Warm Space provision that are identified.
