Section

  1. It was reported to Council at its meeting on 3 November 2022 that a Budget Consultation exercise would be carried out ahead of the 2023/34 Budget, with initial findings reported to Council in January 2023.
  2. The Budget consultation, branded “Have YOUR say” launches this week and will run for four weeks until Sunday 11 December.
  3. A Budget survey is available on the Council website, on a dedicated consultation page with supporting video to outline the consultation process.  The Budget Consultation will be promoted through the local media and the Council’s social media channels.
  4. Digital participation is encouraged but anyone who cannot complete the survey online can call Customer Services on 0300 1234510 and request a paper copy, and arrangements will be made to provide this.
  5. In addition to the digital channels, representatives from the Council’s Communications and Community Planning Teams, with the survey loaded on tablet devices, will visit a number of facilities throughout the area over the four week period.  Locations will include Halls, Hubs, Community Centres and Leisure Centres, and attendance will be organised to coincide with anticipated high footfall and/or when other activities or events are taking place.
  6. As an incentive to participation, five prizes of an £80 Farmfoods voucher are on offer, and anyone who completes the survey will be able to enter the prize draw for the vouchers.  The draw will be made on Monday 12 December following the close of the consultation and prizes awarded that week.
