  2. Operational arrangements have now been communicated to all school-based staff, teaching and non-teaching, not covered by the EIS and AHDS strike mandates.

  3. Schools have communicated that they are closed to pupils on 24 November through their usual communication channels and further reminders will be issued through the Council’s social media channels, linking to our school strike action webpage.

  4. East Dunbartonshire Early Years Centres will remain open on 24 November as these are not affected by the strike mandate, with the exception of Campsie Early Years, which will close as staffing ratios cannot be met as a result of the strike action.

  5. In addition to action by EIS and AHDS on 24 November, the Council has now received notice from the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association (SSTA) of intended strike action by its members on Wednesday 7 December. SSTA membership only affects secondary schools.

  7. Officers are assessing the impact of these further notifications of strike action and Councillors will be kept advised of updates through further Technical Notes.

  8. Following yesterday afternoon’s revised pay offer, the EIS and AHDS Unions have confirmed that it has rejected that offer and that strike action on Thursday
