The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members on a catering consultation exercise in relation to school meals.
Two online surveys will be available for completion by Stakeholders, including parents, carers and pupils in relation to Primary and Secondary school meals. The aim of the consultation exercise is to gain feedback regarding the catering service, promote engagement with service users, inform menu planning and shape service improvements.
Surveys will be available on the Council website, on a dedicated consultation page along with the current school lunch menu as supporting documentation. The consultation will be promoted through Council social media channels and Education’s Groupcall system.
The Consultation will be launched on Monday 9th January 2023 and will run for a four-week period until Friday 3rd February 2023.
Following closure of the consultation exercise a review and analysis of completed surveys will be carried out. This information will be reported to the Place, Neighbourhood and Corporate Assets Committee in March 2023 as part of a wider report into the uptake of school meals.
