Section
The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members on works to create a new grass pitch at the Luggie in Kirkintilloch.
The project has been paused slightly as a result of wet weather, however with the ground now drying out the contractor has intimated their intention to re-mobilise over the next few weeks.
The indicative programme indicates the remainder of drainage, soil preparation and turfing is now due for completion by the end of May. What will follow will be a period of mowing and fertilisation over the Summer period until the surface is ready for play, which is currently estimated to be around the end of September/early October. Progress will be monitored over the Summer period with a view to bringing forward this date if feasible to do so.
