    1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to inform Members of the sad news that former Provost and long standing Councillor John Dempsey passed away on Friday 27 May.
    2. The flags at our Council HQ have been lowered to half-mast as a mark of respect and I have been in touch with his family to express condolences on behalf of the Council at this difficult time.
    3. We will share details of the funeral arrangements with Members once these have been confirmed by the family.
