    On 22nd June 2023, Council approved the Stage 1 report for the Bearsden and Milngavie Primary School projects, instructing officers to proceed to the next phase of both projects, including the submission of planning applications and completion of the construction tender exercise for each.

    A summary of next steps and key milestone dates for the next phase of each project is as follows:

    RIBA Stage 4 Design Development commences

    June 2023

    Planning Application Submission for Decant Sites

    25th November 2022

    Planning Application Submission for Refurbishment Works

    September 2023

    Construction Tender Period

    December 2023

    Stage 2 Council Report

    December 2023

    Decant Schools – Construction Period

    January 2024 to June 2024

    Decant of each school to temporary accommodation

    July 2024 to August 2024

    Bearsden PS – Refurbishment Period

    July 2024 to December 2025

    Milngavie PS – Refurbishment Period

    July 2024 to October 2025

    Dates for the decant of each school from the temporary accommodation back to the completed schools on completion of the refurbishments will be agreed in consultation with colleagues from Education and school stakeholders
