Section

1. The purpose of this technical note is to advise Members that in support of feasibility proposals for the development of Westerton Primary School, a series of pre-construction site investigations are planned to be undertaken over the course of the Summer holidays.

2. Surveys will include:

  • Westerton Primary School: commencing 12th July, Ecology, Topographical, Ground Penetration, Site Investigation, Archaeology (non-intrusive) and CCTV Drainage surveys.
  • Westerton Park: commencing 12th July, Ecology, Topographical, Ground Penetration, Site Investigation, Archaeology (non-intrusive) and CCTV Drainage surveys.

3. The site investigation surveys at Westerton Park, will be undertaken across two phases to allow continued use of part of the pitch area by the public.  Heras fencing will be erected around each half of the site during the surveys themselves.

4. Each site will be fully reinstated to their original condition on completion of the surveys and all works will be cleared prior to the re-opening of the school after the summer break.

5. There will be a site welfare container situated on an area of the pitch as well for contractor workforce to use. This will be removed upon completion of the surveys and re-instatement works.
