Members will be aware that both the Kirkintilloch Town Hall and Milngavie Town Hall have been utilised by NHSGGC as vaccination clinics since the pandemic.
Council officers, in partnership with EDLCT, have been working to identify an alternative venue in Kirkintilloch. It has now been confirmed that the vaccination clinic currently taking place at Kirkintilloch Town Hall will relocate to the vacated Merkland School property on Langmuir Road, Kirkintilloch.
The last clinic will take place at Kirkintilloch Town Hall on Wednesday 16th August. Thereafter it is anticipated that NHSGGC will decommission the clinic and transport all stock and equipment directly to Merkland School on the 23rd August.
The autumn/ winter vaccination covid programme will commence on 4th September, and it expected to continue until December.
There are four clinics per week planned for East Dunbartonshire. The clinics are to be at Milngavie Town Hall on a Monday and Thursday, and at Merkland School on a Wednesday and Thursday.
Council officers will continue to support NHSGGC in the operation of the clinics. The contact officer is Evonne Bauer evonne.bauer@eastdunbarton.gov.uk
