    The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide members with an overview of the Council’s forthcoming External Wall Insulation (“EWI”) programme.

    The Council have been successful in securing £923,200 in funding to support the installation of EWI as part of the Scottish Government’s EES:ABS Scheme for 2023-2024.

    A contract has been awarded to MP Group in order to seek interest from owners at the following locations in Bearsden:

    • Kenilworth Crescent
    • Abbotsford Road
    • Nithsdale Crescent
    • Roslyn Road
    • Dryburgh Road
    • Castlehill Road

    All Council tenants and homeowners within the catchment area will be invited to a meeting in mid-August where all information will be provided.

    A site compound is to be erected at the site of the former residential block at 8-28 Nithsdale Crescent to support the delivery of the programme.

    The compound is scheduled to be in place from the 17th August 2023 and is intended to be removed in January 2024. MP Group will ensure that the compound area is maintained to a high standard and that their activities do not result in a reduction in local amenity while they are on-site. Upon departure the area will be returned to its present condition and maintained thereafter.
