    Section

    1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to arrangements for a special meeting of the Audit & Risk Management Committee on 31st August 2023.  

    2. Members will recall that in approving the diary of meetings for 2023-24, authority was delegate to the Chief Solicitor & Monitoring Officer to set a date for a special Audit & Risk Management Committee to approve the annual accounts.  Ideally, this should take place this month given the wider timeline.

    3. Following consultation with the Convener of Audit & Risk Management, the meeting has been scheduled for 31st August at 4.30pm.  The earlier than normal start time is to accommodate the fact that the Education Committee is scheduled to start at 5.30pm on that date.
