  1. This technical note is provided in response to a question posed at the meeting of  the Policy and Resources Committee on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 on Item 6 General Fund Revenue Monitoring as at Period 8 of the 2022/23 Financial Year.
     
  2. The specific question was in reference to Page 37, Item 6, Income, pertaining to grant funding received from SEPA.
  1. The grant funding was initially received in 2021 from the Water Environment Fund (WEF), a Scottish Government fund managed by SEPA that aims to fund repairs and improvements to urban rivers and enhance the local environment.
  1. The funding is part of the Kelvin Tributaries River Restoration Project funding package, which is being coordinated by the Greenspace and Flood Teams within Roads & Environment.
  1. The project is a multi-year project and is currently at the planning/design stage with the officers in dialogue with SEPA who have advised that the funding can be carried forward into 2023/24.
  1. The previous and current funding received is specifically for the concept and design stages up to and including Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages 1, 2 & 3.
