Section

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to advise Members of the details of the grants to be paid by the Council to each Community Council for 2023/2024.
  2. The amount to be paid to each Community Council for 2023/24 is consistent with previous years and the amount reflected in the Council’s Budget for this current financial year. 
  3. The amount allocated to each Community Council is as follows:

  4. The Democratic Services Team Leader will write to all Community Councils and confirm the amount of their grant funding for 2023/24.  This letter will also invite community councils to submit accounts for 2022/23 and a completed Compliance Questionnaire. 
  5. Upon receipt of satisfactory returns, payment of grants will be authorised.
  6. In the event that a community council does not submit Accounts and/or the completed Compliance Questionnaire by 30th September, then the amount of grant funding that would otherwise have been paid shall be transferred to the Grants Advisory Committee for disbursement.  This is in line with the position adopted in previous years
