Technical Notes 2023, Issue 84 - UCI Cycling Championship Road Races
Section
- The UCI Cycling Championships take place in Glasgow and across Scotland from 3-13 August 2023. The event brings together thirteen cycling championships including the road races.
- There are three road races during the Championships that start in either Edinburgh or Balloch in West Dunbartonshire and end in Glasgow City Centre. They transit through a number of local authority areas, including East Dunbartonshire.
- Unlike previous Time Trial cycling events in East Dunbartonshire, there will not be prolonged road closures for the duration of the cycling road races. Instead there will be rolling road closures in each local authority area from a few minutes before the front riders are due in the locality until just after the final riders have cleared the area. Race planners anticipate the transition through East Dunbartonshire to take between 30-40 minutes. The details of these races are as follows:

Location: Edinburgh to Glasgow
