    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

Section

  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is update Members regarding the publication of financial information relating to the payment of allowances and expenses.    
  2. The Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 requires the Council to publish a record of payments made to Members in relation to allowances and expenses.  This applies to payments made in accordance with the Local Authorities etc. (Allowances)(Scotland) Regulations 1995.
  3. To comply with the 2004 Act, the Council is required to publish payments made to each Member and also make this information available for inspection at Headquarters. Any person who is entitled to inspect the record may make a copy of any part of it.
  4. Publication of the allowances and payments made to Members will take place later today via the Council’s website.
