Section

  1. Members are aware that the Council meeting Diary for June 2024 was cancelled due to the UK General Election, following consultation between the Chief Executive and Political Group leaders. As part of that consultation, the Chief Executive agreed to schedule a special meeting of the Council after the election and traditional recess.
  2. Following consultation with the Provost, it is proposed to hold a special meeting of the Council on Wednesday 21 August 2024 at 5.30pm. Invites will be issued to Members shortly.
  3. In addition to the special meeting of the Council, officers are planning for a number of quasi-judicial boards where there is time sensitive business. Again, invites will be issued in coming days.
  4. A proposed diary of meetings for the remainder of 2024/25 will be presented to the special meeting of Council for approval.
