      This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

    Section

    1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to advice Members of scheduled works to the Council network in the Marina HQ building. 

    2. The network equipment located in the Marina requires to be replaced.  Whilst the replacement is ongoing, there will be no access to the Council network.

    3. To minimise inconvenience and operational impact, colleagues in ICT will undertake this work during the traditional recess/holiday period.  

    4. The upgrade work will take place on Wednesday 24 July.  This means that there will be no network access in the Marina HQ building from 3pm onwards and anyone in the building should save any work in progress and log out of the network by 2.55pm.  The network will be available again on Thursday morning.

    5. Where a Member is working remotely on 24 July, there is no need to log out and access will continue as normal.  In addition, Members Support will be available as per normal arrangements.
