Section

  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Local Ward Members of progress towards signalising the junction of Drymen Road at Station Road, Bearsden.

  2. Ward Members will be aware that Officers have proposed to signalise the junction of Drymen and Station Road. This will result in the removal of the nearby pedestrian crossing. In addition, the project will also look to reduce the flood risk to adjacent properties.

  3. The Service now have a design for both the signals and drainage elements and is looking to progress the project. However, due to pre-tender price increases and competing roadworks in the Bearsden area, it has been challenging to identify a suitable date to book road space to carry out these works.

  4. The project will now be deferred to financial year 2025/26.
