This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise of a temporary lane closure required to aid the delivery of site accommodation to Bearsden Primary School ahead of refurbishment works commencing in January 2025 (Report Ref: EDC-035-24-AD Capital Projects Update – September 2024).
  • The lane closure will be required at the junction of Drymen Road with Roman Road on Thursday 12 December between 9.30am and 2.30pm. Advance warning signage is in place on site. During the road closure, four-way traffic lights and temporary pedestrian crossings will be in operation.
  • The closure is required to allow site accommodation to be craned into the site over the perimeter wall. Consent for the lane closure has been obtained through the normal channels and agreed with the Council’s Roads Service.
  • On-going updates on the project will continue to be provided via the regular General Fund Capital Programme Monitoring Report submitted via the Policy & Resources Committee.
