      This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

    Section

    1. The purpose of this note is to advise Members of the intention to report on the Council’s General Fund update, for both Capital & Revenue at Period 8, to Council on the 26 March 2024.
       
    2. Members will be aware that both the prevailing Terms of Reference and Financial Regulations refer to this business ordinarily being discharged through the Council’s Policy & Resources Committee.  However, the Council can discharge any business otherwise taken to any Council Committee and Members are asked to note this intention.
       
    3. There have been a number of recent announcements that require to be considered and reported upon and given the interdependencies between the Council’s transformative agenda, financial planning and budget setting, it continues to be appropriate to consolidate these within a single strategic planning update.  For this cycle which is constituted by the Council’s General Fund Revenue and Capital Budgets for 2024/25.
