Section

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to update Members on plans to remove the ground gas monitoring points at Westerton Park and Primary School.

  2. Ground gas monitoring was undertaken until late 2023 to help inform underlying ground conditions at both the Park and Primary School in support of the feasibility exercise undertaken for the replacement of Westerton Primary School.

  3. The points have been left in-situ by agreement with Officers until weather conditions have become more favourable to allow their removal and the full reinstatement of ground at each site.

  4. The monitoring points will now be removed from Westerton Park on Friday, 15th March and ground reinstated in full.  At Westerton Primary School, the monitoring points will be removed on Friday, 5th April whilst the school is closed for Easter.
