Section

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide an update on the status of on-going planning applications for projects at Bearsden and Milngavie Primary Schools; Balmuildy Primary School; and Twechar Outdoor Pursuits Centre.

2. As reported to Council in December 2023, the target Planning Board dates for the aforementioned applications was originally 30th January 2024.  This was conditional on the basis of any outstanding information required by consultees being received timeously by the case officer for each project during the course of December 2023 and early January 2024.

3. Subsequent delays in the submission of elements of information across each project and the requirement to fully consider the implications of consultee responses, will now result in each application being considered for approval at the next scheduled Planning Board meeting, which is 26th March 2024.

4. Project Teams will be tasked with managing the wider project programmes to minimise the impact of the change on the wider delivery timescales for each project.  A further programme update for each will be submitted as part of the on-going General Services Capital Monitoring Reports to the Policy and Resources Committee.
