    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to inform Members of the implementation of a revised school lunch menu effective from Thursday, 14 August 2025. Menu changes allow opportunities to incorporate fresh, locally sourced and seasonal produce and provides a variety of food choices.
  • The current school lunch menu has been in place since October 2024 and runs over a three-week cycle.
  • The revised menu will continue to operate over a three-week cycle, with meal options inclusive to dietary and religious needs with content to assist pupils and parents who may require specific dietary information.
  • The revised menu will also highlight selected days when “meat free” dishes and locally sourced produce are available.
  • A nutritional analysis has been carried out and the revised menu complies with all current nutritional standards and regulations.
