  • Subject:

APEX TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT LTD – LIQUIDATION

  • Responsible Officer:

Thomas McMenamin, Executive Officer, Roads & Neighbourhood Services

  • Publication:

This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide an update to Elected Members on the recent petitions to wind up APEX TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT LTD, Block 5 Bothwell Park Industrial Estate, Uddingston, Glasgow, G71 6PB (registered office) (company registration number SC559051)
  • APEX is currently a Council appointed Traffic Management Contractor and supports several Service areas and the Roads Carriageway & Footway Resurfacing Programme, Streetlighting, Traffic Signals and Drainage Projects
  • The affected teams are working to backfill the initial gap caused by the liquidation of APEX, but this may have a short-term impact in the delivery of some programmed works as alternative Traffic Management providers are identified, and contingency arrangements confirmed
  • Officers are working to minimise the impact on current programmes, but regrettably there will be some delays as road space may have to be rebooked via the Scottish Roadworks Register.  The team will endeavour to re-sequence any planned works affected by this news.
