Details

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Elected Members with an update on the Cluny Park Path project, which is being delivered as part of a number of capital path projects in 2025/2026 enabled by Transport Scotland Tier 1 Active Travel funding
  • The project will see approximately 140 linear metres of path upgraded within the western section of Cluny Park in Bearsden. The area to be upgraded is shown in the plan below:

  • The upgrade will include formalising the current desire line to a 2.5m wide footpath as well as the installation of a pedestrian guardrail on Maryhill Road. The upgraded path will match and tie in with the path previously upgraded in the eastern section of the park

  • The project is currently in the early stages of procurement and as such timescales for completion are yet to be confirmed. The project requires to be carried out within this financial year.

  • Procurement of a contractor to undertake the works
