  • The previous Technical Note advised that defect works alongside some minor works identified through the Road Safety Audit Process were to be undertaken on 5 - 8 July 2025
  • Officers can now report that due to a requirement for final lining work and in order for these works to be carried out in a safe manner, Traffic Management (TM) in the form of temporary lane and road closures will be put in place between 10 – 14 November 2025
  • Plans outlining the details of these will be added to the project webpage. Signage will be put in place onsite to provide advanced warning of closures approximately 1 week in advance
  • The closures on the 10 -12 November 2025 include lane closures on the roundabout and Drymen Road
  • A full closure of MacFarlane Road between Canniesburn Toll and Milngavie Road will be in place on the 13 and 14 November 2025. A signed diversionary route will be put in place. Affected residents will be letter dropped to provide advanced notice of this restriction
  • The bus stops on Switchback Northbound (Canniesburn Drive) and Drymen Road (Canniesburn Toll) will be suspended and temporarily relocated on the 10 - 12 November 2025 to accommodate these works.
