    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this technical note is to advise Members of the intention to report on the Council’s General Fund update, for both Capital & Revenue, at Period 7, to Council when it sets its Budget for 2025/26
  • Members will be aware that both the prevailing Terms of Reference and Financial Regulations refer to this business ordinarily being discharged through the Council’s Policy & Resources Committee. However, the Council can discharge any business otherwise taken to any Council Committee and Members are asked to note this intention
  • There have been a number of recent, and pending future, announcements that require to be considered and reported upon This is required given the interdependencies between the Council’s transformative agenda, financial planning, reporting and budget setting.  It is prudent therefore to consolidate these within the planned strategic planning update and as part of the General Fund Revenue and Capital Budgets for 2025/26.
