      This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

    • The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to the ongoing public consultation regarding the Traffic Regulation Order (“TRO”) to introduce on street parking charges in Bearsden and Kirkintilloch

    • Officers have been made aware that there was a typographical error in the public notices regarding the proposed TRO, insofar as the email address for submitting observations or objections referred to “go.uk” instead of “gov.uk”

    • The error does not appear to have had any real impact on the ability of the public to submit comments.  If the incorrect address was used, it would automatically produce an error email.  Further a significant number of responses have been received notwithstanding the minor error in the address

    • Nevertheless, it is important that the Public Notice is accurate, and that no member of the public is or perceives that they have been precluded or impeded from participating in the consultation.  The Notices will be amended and reposted and the deadline for submission of comments or objections will be extended to 16th May 2025

    • Details of the extended consultation deadline will also be issued via the Council’s social media channels.
