The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Elected Members of the temporary closure of Cole Road, Bishopbriggs
Ahead of construction work beginning on the Westerhill Development Road, Cole Road, Bishopbriggs will be closed from its junction with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road at Torrance Roundabout, to its junction with the B810 Crosshill Road at the roundabout, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm on Friday 14, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August 2026
Alternative routes will be via the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and the B819 Crosshill Road. This will be signposted. Cole Road will be reopened to traffic out with the times above. The closure will allow for the removal of surrounding vegetation ahead of the start of substantive construction works for the road
Construction of the WDR is currently programmed to complete in October 2027.
