Community Carbon Literacy Training Privacy Notice
Who will process?
The personal information you provided to Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) is shared with East Dunbartonshire Council (the Council), 12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch, G66 1TJ. The Council will store the information in order to understand demographic of people being trained and where community climate action is concentrated. The Council will not then share your personal information with any party.
Why it will be processed?
Personal data will only be processed for the purposes of delivering the specified services. The services may include pre and post courses surveys, access to a Moodle platform to access resources from the training and following up with those trained to better understand if they have used their new skills and understanding to undertake climate community access.
What is the legal basis to process the personal information?
Your personal information is being processed as you have provided your consent that extends to both the Council and KSB when signing up for Community Carbon Literacy Training.
Retention of Information
The information will be retained until the close of the end of the training programme then all information will be deleted.
What are my rights?
You are entitled to revoke consent and require that your data and personal information stops being processed. If anyone wishes to revoke their consent, they can email sustainability@eastdunbarton.gov.uk who will deal with the matter.
You have the right to access the personal information the Council holds about you. This right is called a Subject Access Request, often referred to as a SAR.
You can receive a copy of your personal data held by the Council, details on why it is being used, who it has been/ will be shared with, how long it will be held for, the source of the information and if the Council uses computer systems profile or take decisions about you. You have the right to request the Council correct any information held about you that is inaccurate.
You have the right to request that the Council delete the personal information about you. This right is known as the right to be forgotten.
You have the right to request that the Council stops using your personal information, while retaining a copy of it.
You have the right to object to the Council’s use of your personal information. The Council will have to demonstrate why it is appropriate to continue to use your personal data.
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office should you be unhappy with the way the Council has processed your personal data. Details on how to report a concern can be found on the ICO make a complaint.
