Reactive Repairs
How to report reactive repairs requests
All reactive repair requests should be raised through the submission of a Reactive Repair Request Form.
Please note that only East Dunbartonshire Council Building Managers, Facilities Officers or prior agreed persons working within Council run assets should be logging repair requests via this form.
Duty Holders / East Dunbartonshire Council Employees - please report any issues to your Facilities Manager (FM) staff member in the first instance. If no FM personnel are present on site, then a single person on site should be allocated the role of Appointed Person. This person will act as a point of contact between the asset and the Estates & Facilities Service to log repairs, provide updates to the Duty Holder and others on site.
Please only complete one form per site (Example: If you are responsible for Lenzie Academy and find yourself covering Lenzie Meadow Primary School, please ensure repairs for Lenzie Meadow are on one request, with the any repairs wished to be logged for Lenzie Academy on another).
What happens next with your request
Once submitted, your reactive repair request will be sent to the Estates & Facilities Service to review. The Facilities Coordinator will thereafter instruct the required work through Property Maintenance or an external contractor.
The appointed Facilities Coordinator for your area will respond to you using the contact details provided on whether your repair is progressing and provide updates.
In the event of an emergency situation requiring immediate assistance
If the reactive repair is considered an emergency and therefore needs immediate attention (within 24 hours), then the person raising the repair should call their Facilities Coordinator to advise of an emergency and confirm what assistance they require.
Please note that regardless of calling you MUST follow that call up with submitting a Reactive Repair Request Form.
