The Scottish Government has developed a tool to assist public sector staff, and suppliers to the public sector, in understanding the appropriate route for different procurement exercise.

This tool encourages best practice and facilitates a consistent approach across the Scottish public sector. It is made available here for guidance only and no Procurement over £16,500 or requiring quality selection criteria, should be undertaken without consultation with Corporate Procurement.

The tool should be read and understood in conjunction with East Dunbartonshire Council's own Procurement Handbook, found on the Procurement Documents page, which contains specific information on this council's own processes and financial regulations. In particular the sample documents available within the Procurement Journey must not be downloaded as EDC maintains its own set of templates which are held by the Corporate Procurement team.

Decision Matrix

Visit the Decision Matrix to ask questions about Cost and Risk, and indicates a suitable Procurement Route. Each route then details the type of actions which should be completed, however these would be carried out in compliance with local procedures and standard documentation.
