Schools must make the ICT Analyst aware of any ICT Purchases.

The ICT Analyst will register the item's on the council's asset management system and add it to the school network. This will automatically set up security and install Anti Virus software.

If the equipment purchased is a Mobile Device (Laptop, Tablet or iPad) which will not be connected to the school network, the ICT Analyst will manually add the item to the asset management system and install Anti Virus software if available.

Schools must ensure that the steps outlined in the "off network" guidance below are also followed and that staff and pupils are aware of their responsibilities outlined in the full AUP and Mobile Device policy documents

It is envisaged that after the completion of the school network upgrades and the availability of Window 7 with managed wireless access that ALL ICT devices will be added to the network unless a justifiable Business case can be produced
