    Communication Services - Desk Phones

    In keeping with the ICT Strategy for East Dunbartonshire Council we have been at the forefront of current technology in the installation and deployment of our Cisco Telephony system as you will be aware from the Voice over Internet Protocol Telephony rollout and Voicemail Systems.

    As such this allowed us to deploy state of the art Internet Protocol telephones to accommodate the telephony requirements of East Dunbartonshire Council in keeping with the successful “Smarter Working” Deployment which would not have been possible without the Internet Protocol Telephony  facility ensuring users where able to sit at any desk and login to the telephone at the desk.

    Our deployment saw us rollout a few particular models of Internet Protocol Telephones namely the Cisco 7911 Handset for desktop deployment and Cisco 7941, 7945 or 7965 telephones to accommodate teleconferencing requirements of our meeting rooms and office requirements at Schools and our KHCC in collaboration with the NHS.

    In addition to the handsets information below there are a couple of how to's to the right under "Related Content" in relation to "Creating a Personal Directory on your phone" and "Accessing your Voicemail".

    he Cisco 7911 handset has a multitude of features available to the user with most options accessible from the soft key menu options including login functionality from the menu buttons, navigation key and an additional Hold button used to place calls on hold whilst transferring calls.

    The 7941, 7945 and 7965 all have similar layout in relation to buttons with the exception of the programmable Line buttons.  Similarly the 794X and 796X have soft key functionality and 796X has a colour screen.

    • 7941 Handset + Licences £250 (4 licences)
    • 7941 Replacement Handset on it's own £150
    • 7945 Handset + Licences £300 (4 Licences)
    • 7945 replacement Handset on it's own £200
    • 7965 Handset + Licences £350 (4 Licences)
    • 7965 Replacement Handset on it's own £250.
