Notification Holds

This guide outlines the steps for self-service procurement users (requisitioners and approvers) to manage reminder notifications in Oracle Fusion.

Notifications can be found by clicking on the bell icon or accessing your emails. If you wish to see all your notifications, select ‘show all’ from the bell icon then select worklist.

Purchase Order notifications

The user will get a notification to receive when a Purchase Order has passed the due date OR when PR has been processed to PO and Invoice has been created.
Step 1: User gets the notification to receive as below:

Step 2: Navigate to Procurement > My Receipts > Search for the PO number.

Step 3: Create Receipt by inputting the correct quantity > Click Submit

The escalations for the Create Receipt Notification should be Stopped once receipt has been created. And to do that the user would have to follow the below steps:

  1. Step 1: Go to Bell Icon > Click on the same Notification for the Confirm Receipts PO > Click “Did not Receive.”

Quantity based purchase order

Invoice price exceeds purchase order price.

Step 1: Go to Procurement > Purchase Requisition > Manage Requisition > Search for the PR/PO for which the notification has arrived > Click on the PO link.

Step 2: Check for the difference in between the ordered and the invoiced amount.

Step 3: Click on Done > Go to Actions on the PR Page > Click on Edit Order > Increase the Quantity to match the invoice amount > Save and Submit

Step 4: Once the PO gets approved, and Validate Invoice process runs again, the hold will be released automatically.

Billed quantity exceeds the received quantity

Step 1: Go to Procurement > Purchase Requisition > Manage Requisition > Search for the PR/PO for which the notification has arrived > Click on the PO link.

Step 2: Check for the difference in between the ordered, invoiced and received amount/quantity.

Step 4: Once the PO gets approved, create receipt for the extra quantities added> Receipt gets created> Validate Invoice process runs again, the hold will be released automatically.

Step 1: Go to Procurement > Purchase Requisition > Manage Requisition > Search for the PR/PO for which the notification has arrived > Click on the PO link.

Step 2: Check for the difference in between the ordered and the invoiced amount.

Step 4: Once the PO gets approved, and Validate Invoice process runs again, the hold will be released automatically.

Service Based PO

(This is a fixed price/fixed line, it does not contain a quantity)

Step 2: Check for the difference in between the ordered and the invoiced amount.
