Students from the area’s eight secondary schools have traditionally gone onto positive destinations in their droves with East Dunbartonshire achieving top spot three times in the last five years and featuring in the top three, every year for the last 10 years.

This is great news for our young people and their families and what a boost to our teachers and school staff to see students leave and go onto the next positive stage in their lives.
Convener of the Council’s Education Committee, Councillor Lynda Williamson

“Our schools are focussed on helping all students follow their dreams and are delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of everyone, whatever they may be. In partnership with SDS they have provided routes and pathways for students that meet labour market needs and the result is cohorts of young people taking that first big step into the world after school on the road they have chosen.”
