It’s good news all round at Lennoxtown Primary School and Early Years Centre following an inspection by Education Scotland.
During the pre-Christmas visit, inspectors spent time with the Head Teacher, staff, parents/carers and children to learn about their experiences of working, learning and playing in the school and early years centre.
They identified many positive aspects to school and nursery life, including:
- Children are happy, curious and resourceful in their early years centre. At the primary stages, children have a strong voice through their leadership roles.
- There are positive, nurturing relationships between children and staff across the school and early years centre.
- The vision and drive of the headteacher and senior leaders to empower staff and practitioners is creating the right conditions to build their confidence. As a result, they are working well together to address barriers to learning and improve outcomes for children.
“The inspectors look thoroughly at all aspects of the school and early years centre and it is very encouraging for the whole school community to see how their hard work and commitment is paying off. Well done to everyone at Lennoxtown Primary and Early Years Centre. I know they will build on this positive report for the future.”
Headteacher Rona Coughlan added, “We are delighted with our report and feel it captures our strengths and the unique qualities of our School and Centre, our families and our wider community. Our children are supported by an amazing team and we are excited to continue on our path of ongoing improvement in order to ensure the best possible experiences for our children and families.”
