Are you passionate about promoting leisure and cultural services? East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLCT) has a vacancy for an Independent Director.
The new director will work with members of the EDLC Trust Board to oversee the delivery of local leisure and cultural services - with facilities including three leisure centres, a sports hub, eight libraries, a museum and an art gallery, as well as Kirkintilloch Town Hall and Kilmardinny House.
Applicants should be knowledgeable in either or both leisure and cultural services, and/or skilled in a profession or other capacity that would add value and support to the Board.

On average, the successful applicant will serve on the Trust Board and subgroups around eight days per year with meetings of the Board taking place in the evening, normally in Bearsden, although travel to other venues may be required on occasions.
The appointment is initially for a fixed term of two years, with the possibility of re-appointment. The role of Independent Director is voluntary, however, they are entitled to receive costs incurred while serving, including travel (in Scotland), subsistence and all reasonable expenses.
