On Saturday 24 August a free photography exhibition will be unveiled at the Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie. The exhibition is being provided by Street Level Photoworks and is entitled, ‘Disparate Individuals: Common Cause’.
Running until 26 September, the exhibition brings together work by a range of photographers who were active members of the Glasgow Photography Group (GPG) from 1987 to 1989. GPG was the association of photography enthusiasts who went on to establish a photography centre in Glasgow, which became Street Level Photoworks, established in 1989.
names like Robert Burns, Alan Dimick, Roger Farnham, Sarah Mackay, Kay Ritchie, Stewart Shaw and Sandy Sharp.
“Running from Saturday 24 August until Thursday 26 September, ‘Disparate Individuals: Common Cause’ is a fantastic opportunity to engage with photography in our community. The ‘Disparate Individuals: Common Cause’ exhibition will launch at the Lillie Art Gallery at 2pm on Saturday 24 August.
