The Kirkintilloch Picture Palace relies on the star-studded efforts of a team of volunteers, including George Crooks, who said, "The fact we work as a team is great. I enjoy the social and fun side of things – harmony, fellowship and chatting to the community in general."
Serina Marshall, Cinema Co-ordinator of the Kirky Picture Palace, said, "Many thanks to everyone who came along to the festive screenings and our first Scottish Film Festival. We're pleased to be able to provide a range of movies for local residents – including screenings for young children and people with dementia.
"If you have a passion for the pictures and want to volunteer to help, please get in touch."
In the past, the Kirky Picture Palace has organised screenings in local schools and aims to expand that service, potentially including local community centres and more. If you have an enquiry about hiring the mobile cinema, email kirkyfilmhub@gmail.com
